Fits: BMW Gen 1 B58 3.0L turbo (2016–2019): M140i (F20/F21), M240i (F22/F23), 340i (F30/F31/F34 GT), 440i (F32/F33/F36), X3 M40i (G01) and X4 M40i (G02) Gen 1.
Doesn't fit: Supra MkV or G Series B58TU (Gen 2/3) cars – these already run this pump from the factory. Not for N55 or S55.

The easiest fuel upgrade for a Gen 1 B58

This is the higher-flow B58TU (Gen 2) high pressure fuel pump, replacement for Bosch 0261520520 / BMW 13518631642. It bolts onto the Gen 1 B58 in place of the factory pump and flows noticeably more fuel, so it can hold direct injection rail pressure where the stock Gen 1 pump runs out – especially on ethanol blends.

It's the go-to high pressure pump for big turbo and E85 builds, and the perfect partner for a port injection setup, letting your tune keep a healthy direct injection share at high boost and RPM.

What else you'll need

  • A tune with B58TU pump support (MHD or bootmod3). The pump needs to be enabled in the tune to get the benefit.
  • New HPFP gasket (BMW 11128633750) – recommended whenever the pump is removed.
  • The B58TU pump's electrical connector faces a different direction to the Gen 1 pump, so a short extension of the factory pump plug may be needed. Check with your installer.

Installation is not offered – we recommend fitting by an experienced BMW workshop.

FAQ

Does this fit my 2018 M240i?
Yes. All F Series M140i, M240i, 340i and 440i models with the B58 engine are Gen 1 and take this pump.

Do I need a tune?
Yes. Your tuner needs to enable the B58TU pump in your MHD or bootmod3 tune.

Is it enough on its own for big power on E85?
On direct injection only it supports a solid step up over the stock pump. For high-ethanol big-power builds it's normally paired with port injection and an upgraded low pressure (in-tank) pump.

Will it fit my Supra MkV or G Series car?
No need – B58TU (Gen 2/3) engines already have this pump from the factory.
